OOTD : Tribal & Booties !

This is actually what I wore for Mother's Day... I know I know is a little old but in my defense I had completely forgotten about it. Anywho here it is.... I love this outfit! It was mother's day so I didn't want anything too flashy, something family oriented but I the same I wanted to look cute since you know I'm a mommy myself.

That day was very hot so I wanted something flowy and spring approved, so I went with this colorful hi-low print top. It has button detail in the chest area. This top was sooo comfortable and the best part it was only $13 at JcPenney! Yes $13! If you haven't shopped in JcPenney lately you definetly should. Their prices have improved and they have really nice clothing.

I paired it with some dark wash skinny jeans from F21 which were only I think $10.80 or $12.80 if I'm not mistaken. For jewerly I went with my Jewelmint ring and can't remeber what I earrings I had but I know it was very simple.

For shoes I went with the gray strappy tassled open toe botties... that was a mouthful! I got this looong time ago from this store called A.J. Wright which was a very inexpensive store which has closed now in all United States. It was like a branch of Marshalls and TJ Maxx just much cheaper. These were only $14.99! Yes, I try to be very budget friendly ;)

If you are wondering what on my nails and toesies is Wet N Wild Megalast in Tropicalia.

Hope you guys like my Outfit of the Day ! =)

Sinful Colors Castaway Collection!

I grabbed a few of the polishes from the Castaway Collection and the one I will be showing you today is . . .

Sinful Colors - Neptune

Sinful Colors Nail Polishes retail for usually $1.99 at most drugstores but with my couponing of course I was able to score this and other cosmetics completely FREE! Yea you heard right, FREE! Lol

Alright moving onto the polish itself, Neptune is a gorgeous in between shade of a royal blue and a periwinkle blue the shade is stunning. I usually don't gravitate towards shades like this but this one was the exception.

Isn't gorgeous? Is that in between color you usually won't pick up but this one specifically has grey-ish silver shimmers in it which makes that amazing! The polish is opaque in two coats and the consistency was a little on the thick side but it didn't give me any issues at all.

I don't know but this just reminds me of a rainy day, in a really good way. Very calming, soothing, not in your face type of color.

Will do some other posts about some other Sinful goodies I got coming soon :)

This is one of the Castaway must haves but don't be surprised if you come out with the whole collection because they are all gorgeous!!!

Let me know which ones have you gotten from this collection?

Pheeew! Oh man was that a lot! Ok so when I first saw the pictures for this collection I wasn't really thrilled I think a lot had to do with the packaging itself. To me there too much going on and to be honest it makes me go all dizzy just looking at it. Then again that's just me, maybe you would totally be head over heels about the packaging.

The first thing that I saw and I knew right away it made it to "my list" is the eyeshadow in Barefoot! It looks absolutely gorgeous, and maybe just maybe it could be because have a "thing" for gold. I also wanted Jaunty but to be honest is nothing out of this world and I'm pretty sure I have something like that on my collection.

Another thing that just popped at me was the Shore Leave Pro Longwear Lip Pencil it's a beautiful color buuut the $19.50 price tag is making me cringe for a lip pencil.

I'm thinking about getting one of the Pro Longwear Bronzers but that all depends when I see swatches or when I got with my friend to the MAC Store the 24th and maybe try it on for myself and see how it works with my skintone.

I'm also going to be most likely getting will be Orange Tempera. It has come out before but I didn't get the chance to get it at the time. To be honest none of the lipsticks screamed out to me but we will see when the day of the launch comes.

I also thinking about getting one of the blushes in Launch Away! Another thing is that I was stoked when I saw the Crew High-light Powder but the I saw swatches of it online and was completly disppointed :(

Last but not least the MAC to the Beach Body Oil!!! Aaaaah! Very excited about this! I may even get both! They are gorg! But def. Seaside! They are both beautiful though and perfect for the summer!

Soo so far it is:

- Barefoot Eyeshadow
- Maybe a Pro Longwear Bronzer?
- Orange Tempera Lipglass
- Launch Away!
- Seaside & Man Rays

I have to keep in mind though that a MUCH MUCH BETTER collection is just around the corner! Which I'm sooo STOKED about! We'll see when May 24th arrives and what I really will get ;)

Soooo..... What's on your list?

Do, share! :)

New Wet & Wild Chrome Collection for 2012 - SWATCHES!

As I was browsing in Rite Aid I spotted these new nail polishes from Wet & Wild hidden from the rest of the cosmetics. They were very high up in a little W&W nail polish stand were the they put the body sprays. I went on my tippy toes and grabbed the whole stand and went "Ooooh". Boy was I excited!

They were a new collection called The Chrome Collection! They had a variety of colors such as blue, purple, gold, penny, red, etc... I ended up picking up the "silver one" Which is called Steel the Spotlight . . .

Steel the Spotlight

Steel the Spotlight

Isn't gorgeous? This was the most eye catching out of all in my opinion. Now these retail for $3.99 if I'm not mistaken. If you are used to paying $1.99 for W&W make sure you are ready to shed a bit more $$$ for these.

What I don't get is that these are actually smaller in size quantity compared to the regular nail polish which is .5 oz these are just a bit more than half of that . . .

Steel the Spotlight .29 fl oz.

As for the polish itself I was quite happy with except for one thing. They aren't really chrome.... they are more of foil or metallic like polish. So they are not exactly mirrored or chrome finish.

The consistency was thin but not too too thin just right, it applied nice and was opaque in two coats. Just a tiny tad bit streaky which is normal for these type of polishes.

This shade in particular will most likely be considered "the silver one" when compared to the rest but not exactly. This one has A LOT of gold "flecks" in it! Making it look a lot more gold than silver which in my case I really like.

Let me show you what I mean by the gold "flecks" because it isn't really glitter and if its in tiny micro glitters . . .

Steel the Spotlight - See the gold? :)

One other thing, I don't know if it was the polish itself but I did get a sort of grainy thingy macgiggers type of issue when applying it... could have been me or the polish, I really have no idea. If you end up getting them be sure to let me now if this minor issue happened to you as well . . .

Grainy Effect? or just Bubbles?
Either way I was pleased with this new polish from Wet & Wild even though is not chrome, .5oz, or $1.99 or $2.99 but still very pretty color. I topped off my index and ring finger off with Jordana's chunky gold glitter in Funky Gold Town . . .
Jordana's - Funky Gold Town

If you spot these at the drugstore let me know which ones will you get and How you like them?

I would love to hear your opinion on this new collection from Wet & Wild ;)
